Do this first thing in the morning!

I’ve been a single parent for more years then I feel like adding up right now. (Because math is hard.) Majority of that time, I’ve had all 3 of my kids waking up in my house in the morning, making doing anything for myself, hard.

But here is the quick little thing I try to do every morning, right when I wake up, before I even get out of bed.

Say “Thank You.”

Just say it.

For all the reasons all the other blogs and memes tell you to do it for,  but also say it just for you.

Thank yourself for everything you’ve accomplished up to this point. Thank yourself for waking up again. Thank yourself for putting one foot in front of the other, no matter how hard that might be right now.

Being grateful for yourself is a great step towards increasing your self worth, which so many of us struggle with. (As well as raising your frequency, and connection to the universe and all that other hippie stuff.) (Which I’m totally into btw)

Don’t let your negative self talk try to tell you all the reasons why you shouldn’t be thankful for yourself. Recognize those negative thoughts when they come up, honor them for what they are, forgive yourself for thinking them, and release them, thinking about one positive thing about yourself instead.

If you can’t think of anything, try this mantra out:

(Only half kidding. lol)

For reelzies though, find just one positive thing to be grateful for about yourself and remind yourself of it regularly.

If nothing else, be thankful that you are reading this and trying your best to stay afloat.

Write to me in the comments what you are grateful to yourself for! Let’s start a thread of praise for you all!

You are loved, so very much!

Love, Haley
